Feb. 23 “What Do You Seek?” What will make us happy? What is that deep longing in our hearts all about? We all live for something, and ultimately spend our whole lives search for happiness. But some people spend their whole lives avoiding one simple question: Why?
Mar. 2 “Who Are You?” We tale to neuroscientists, psychologists, artists, athletes, and professors to examine the mystery of you. If you're just a body, then satisfaction should come from fulling bodily ness. But you are material and immaterial, and that unseen part of you craves so much more.
Mar. 3 “ Why A God?” Throughout human history, man has looked to something outside himself for the answers to life. But is belief in God silly? Has science disproven God? The idea that we’ve “moved beyond” God is a very new and unusual idea to humanity. We talk with astrophysicists, chemists, Harvard professors, and philosophers to explore the importance of belief in the divine. Ultimately, humanity’s most profound search is this search for God. But what if the God we are all searching for is actually searching for us?
Mar. 4 “ What’s Our Story? Your life is a story. And it’s caught up in the great story of humanity. This great story, as we find it in Scripture, is a love story-God who si love created the universe and pursues humanity to the end, to be with Him in love. Your life has a pilot, a purpose, and value. We need to see how we fit into this big love story to know why we exist.
Mar. 9 “Who Is Jesus?” The most beautiful part of this story is that we can know God’s love personally. This is the person of Jesus. But how did this seemingly insignificant carpenter become the most pivotal figure in all of history? Christianity isn’t simply a philosophy of life-it is an adventure of life with and for Jesus. Ultimately, we need to decide if Jesus really was who he said he was.
Mar. 10 “Am I Saved?” Jesus’ life, death, and resurrection comprise the greatest act of love in human history. But some may feel unworthy of this gift of love; we may feel we have too much baggage, or that we are unlovable. God didn’t reveal himself to us on a pedestal; He entered into our messy human condition, to fix us from within and to transform us from the inside out. His love for us changes our lives forever.
Mar. 23 “Why A Church?” How do I access the person who lived 2000 years ago? How do I live this call of love? We uniquely encounter the love of God in His Church. But really? The Church? The God who is love know how we’re made-material and spiritual, body and soul. We can’t be spiritual but not religious. The Church-comprised of heroic saints and profound sinners-is the family of God throughout history, and the place where we are meant to encounter His grace and love through every step of life.
